This 7-day route runs Ecuador's Avenue of the Volcanoes from the capital high in the Andes down to the cloud-forest town of Baños. Begin with two days in Quito's UNESCO-listed Old Town and the Teleferico for altitude acclimatisation, then drive south to hike beneath Cotopaxi's perfect cone and sleep on the paramo. Continue to Quilotoa Lagoon to walk the crater rim and overnight in a highland village, then descend to Baños for waterfalls, hot springs, and the famous swing at the end of the world. The trip stays in USD throughout, mixes active days with recovery time, and needs a private car or tour for the rural legs between Quito, Cotopaxi, Quilotoa, and Baños.
